Strange Days

Newmarch Gallery, Prospect, South Australia
September 2020

This series of Works on Paper was developed during 2020,a  strange year of isolation and quarantine.

My small drawings printed large use the motif of my son’s many collected “sticks” to explore our experiences of mental health, resilience, family, home, and a sense of isolation within isolation.

While sticks are small and insignificant, together they can build a fire, make a shelter, and support a forest canopy.

These “Sticky” drawings contemplate the big ideas in small things.
