Falling

MEOU Art Museum, Shanghai, November 2018

This exhibition explored juxtapositions of Australian and Chinese experiences as a vehicle for personal narratives. There is a long and fascinating history of cultural exchange around the production of porcelain, which is intertwined with the political, economic and social relationships between East and West. My work only touched the surface of this history.

The exhibition was displayed over two levels of MEOU Art and included Master of the Rocks, 1 & 3 which was later included in the 2020 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale at the Yingge Ceramics Museum, New Taipai.

Works included: “We are so Fragile” installation of broken plates,  “Master of the Rocks” (parts 1 & 3),  “Mirimar Lotus” and framed photographs and “Double Happiness”.
