Mirima Lotus

Jingdezhen, China, 2018

Reconciliation is a simple act of reaching out and riding the gap with respect, purpose and empathy. This experience is at the heart of “Mirima Lotus”. Using the language of the Australian landscape to talk about home and family. The Lotus field design (Adelaide Botanic Gardens) for my white fella family, the Mirima (Kimbery Ranges) for my Miriwoong mob. These layers float together in a blue and white landscape, the red and yellow desert road of reconciliation running through the centre.
